EPRU Championships! The North Penn Rugby Football Club's Ruckin' Ducks wish to thank all of teams that participated in 2008 EPRU Girls High School Championships on Sunday May 11th at Penndale MIddle School. Congratulations to the 1st place State College and runner ups Doylestown for a great final!

"Every Try Counts!" Fundraiser

This last year the Ruckin’ Ducks Girls Rugby Team worked hard to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer education.

Every time the team scored a ‘try’ during our 2008 season, friends, families and team members of the Ruckin’ Ducks helped ‘spread the word’ about breast cancer education by making a monetary contribution to the Feel Your Boobies Foundation @ www.feelyourboobies.com. While the foundation’s name does draw attention (and a giggle), it was an ideal match for us in our efforts because 1) the focus is on education and 2) their awareness campaign is geared to young women and the information is presented in an energizing way.

During all rugby matches the Ruckin’ Ducks team sported Feel Your Boobies tattoos to raise awareness of this program to all opposing teams. On May 11th, Leigh Hurst, the founder of the Feel Your Boobies Foundation and a breast cancer survivor herself, was at the Ruck for the Cure Rugby tournament.

The 2008 Ducks (pictured left) loved getting a "hand up" on the campaign. Throughout the year, our ‘trys’ were recorded on the chart to the right. Our goal was $2000.... we raised $2800! Yeah!!!!!!! Feel those Boobies!!!!
